Paper shredding doesn’t just affect Kentucky. It affects everyone the world over.
The National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) shared an article from The Sun which claims that a Metropolitan Police unit in England illegally destroyed classified documents regarding political targets.
The alleged incident occurred in 2014 when current British prime minister Theresa May (acting then as Home Secretary) ordered an investigation of the Met’s undercover work.
May’s investigation followed claims that undercover police officers targeted the grieving family of a murdered black teenager, as well as female political activists in order to obtain information. The “undercover” work went as far as some officers fathering children with the activists.
As this latest development unfolds, it could spell massive trouble for the Metropolitan Police.
