It is time to get rid of all of that hazardous waste lurking in your home and garage! Bowling Green, Kentucky and Warren County, Kentucky governments (in association with local businesses) are sponsoring a “Household Hazardous Waste Day.” Bring unused chemicals, waste oil, herbicides, pesticides, devices containing mercury, as well as small appliances for proper disposal. We’ll also be taking old computers and monitors for recycling. Of course, Land Shark Shredding will be on hand to shred any paper documents you need to get rid of.
Oh, and did we mention that you can have all of these things taken off your hands FREE OF CHARGE???
However, let it be known that some items cannot and will not be accepted. These include scrap tires, automotive junk / debris, refrigerated appliances, smoke detectors, and any other items containing harmful or radioactive material.
This event will be held at the Warren County Salt Barn located at 999 Lauren Avery Drive in Bowling Green near Bristow Elementary School, off of US 31-W. Signs will be posted, so you won’t miss us! Come by anytime between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM CDT on Saturday, October 29th.
You can find more information and direct questions to the event organizers on the event’s Facebook page.
